Tampa Bay Business Journal: Where Tampa-St. Pete ranks among the areas most vulnerable to cyberattacks
The Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area is one of the most “cyber insecure” metros in the United States, a new report says.
The Tampa metro ranks as the 10th most insecure metro in a list of 55 communities studied by Coronet, a Tel Aviv-based cloud security company.
Coronet cited the large presence of defense and financial service firms, as well as the above-average elderly population, as reasons for the metro area’s low ranking.
Coronet’s May 22 report, “Cybersecurity in the City,” was developed to help mid-market and small businesses better comprehend cyber risk, the company said.
